The Jubilee Weekend

St. Mary's will be marking the Jubilee Weekend in a number of ways.

Alsager Arts Jubilee Festival 2012

Alsager Arts is staging a small festival during the weekend. St. Mary's will be used as an exhibition space for some of the artists and craftspeople who live in Alsager and earn their living through what they create with their hands. For further details, please click here.

Saturday 2nd June 7.30pm Jubilee Concert

The musical centrepiece of the weekend will be an orchestral concert in church, with the second half given over to Last Night of the Proms material.

Sunday 3rd June 12 noon The Big Lunch

Our central activitiy will be a shared lunch at 12 noon. All being well, this will be outside on the front lawn, and will be a visible participation in the day's nationwide Big Lunch. This meal will effectively be our morning service, allowing everyone plenty of time to get things ready. There will be a service of Holy Communion in the evening at 6.30pm.

St Mary's is a Fairtrade Church. Members of our congregation were active in the successful campaign to make Alsager a Fairtrade Town. Most Sundays there is a small fairtrade stall in church.
