The Bishop of Chester
Bishop Mark Tanner is now the Bishop of Chester. His election as the diocesan bishop was confirmed in a legal ceremony broadcast entirely online on 15 July. The Bishop of Chester’s Staff Meeting gathered at Chester Cathedral today (suitably socially distanced) for the first time since the COVID-19 lockdown, along with Bishop Mark Tanner whose election as Bishop of Chester was confirmed last week. This marks a step in Bishop Mark now beginning to pick up his new responsibilities.
